The House Democratic Caucus is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Digital residents to work full-time, in-person in a fast-paced leadership office. Residents will be primarily responsible for assisting digital campaigns and creating content for various social media platforms. The program will also include an educational work component in which residents will attend and manage remote congressional briefings and hearings, conduct research, draft internal documents and participate in professional development sessions.
The term of this paid residency will be from September to December 2021. Applicants must be able to work in Washington, D.C. Ideal applicants will have a professional and positive attitude, a demonstrated knowledge of Democratic politics and problem-solving skills. Digital candidates should have proficiency with social media platforms, graphic design, video editing software and other digital programs. Navigation of creative design platforms is mandatory (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc.). Strong writing skills are required to excel in this role. A passion for politics, the legislative process and the digital creative industry is a plus.

The Museum seeks a part-time Project Intern to assist with the implementation of daily operations and long-term projects. Duties include: * Group tours for students, seniors, and teachers. POSTED JUNE 20 — PRRI — Public Religion Research Institute currently has openings for a diverse cohort of 16 non-residential Public Fellows in sociology, political science, religious studies and related fields who are engaged in public scholarship at the intersection of religion, culture, and politics. These PRRI Public Fellows will work alongside the organization’s research and communications staff during the 2021–2022 academic year. This renewable, 10-month fellowship includes a stipend and access to microgrants to support collaborative work. It will benefit those who want to shape their work for broader public consumption, receive communications support for placing public-facing work in top-tier media outlets, and integrate quantitative data into their research and teaching. POSTED APRIL 25 — FREEDOM IN THE WORLD JUNIOR FELLOWSHIP — (Remote, New York City). Freedom House is seeking three (3) motivated candidates to inaugurate the nine-month Freedom in the World Junior Fellowship program. Freedom in the World is Freedom House’s flagship analysis on political rights and civil liberties in 210 countries and territories. Produced since 1973, it is the most widely read and cited report of its kind, used on a regular basis by policymakers, journalists, academics, activists, and others. The most recent edition of Freedom in the World, published in March 2021, was cited in the Washington Post, the Atlantic, NBC News, CNN, the BBC, and in a March 3 speech about US foreign policy by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, among many other places. Each Junior Fellow will be hired to join Freedom House as a fixed-term, salaried employee, eligible for a generous benefits package. Junior Fellows will be responsible for managing the research for one of the six geographic regions covered by Freedom in the World. In doing so, the Junior Fellows will have the opportunity to establish expertise on a specific region, and will be called on to provide analysis of that region for internal use and potentially in response to media and other external queries. Through the fellowship program, Junior Fellows will also bolster their knowledge of global democracy using a comparative lens; build a network of external regional experts; develop crucial project management skills; and strengthen research and analysis skills. They will have opportunities to interact with senior and executive Freedom House staff, as well as other prominent practitioners in the democracy and human rights field. At the completion of the fellowship, they will have developed a range of highly marketable skills that will help propel them on to successful careers. The nine-month, full-time fellowship will begin on or around July 5, 2021, and end on March 31, 2022. Junior Fellows will receive an annualized salary of $42,000-amounting to a pre-tax, pre-deduction salary of $3,500 per month for nine months-and a generous benefits package. Given the COVID-19 outbreak, the fellowship will begin as a remote position with optional relocation to New York City once circumstances allow. (CBCF). I am sending this email to share a wonderful opportunity for graduate students in your institution! The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) is hosting fellowships to give deserving graduate students opportunities work on Capitol Hill! CBCF offers two types of fellowships: Congressional Fellowships and National Racial Equity Initiative (NREI) Fellowships. For this fellowship cycle (and for the foreseeable future), our program will operate in the virtual space; meaning, that fellows while fellows will be placed in Member offices they will work from home (rather than moving to Washington, DC for the fellowship cycle). Congressional Fellowships are 12 months in duration and selected participants will work in a Congressional member office in their specialized field (e.g., finance, health, etc.). Our NREI Fellowships are also 12 months in duration. Fellows that apply for this program will have a demonstrated interest and experience working on social justice issues. Fellows will spend their first six months working in a Congressional member office on social justice-related issues.
